We haven't been able to put a full team on the floor in practice in two weeks. Maybe we play better when we're sick.

We're just eager to take the floor and actually be in a game setting. We've had two good weeks of practice, and I think we're ready to play.

We haven't pressed in a couple of weeks. We're not a great defensive team, but we get after it. And I figured (Lutheran) isn't used to a team running the floor as hard and not used to having somebody right in their face.

I think this tournament really showed us what we can do with a full team. We haven't had a full, healthy team until this point and we're gaining some confidence that we can play with good teams.

There was frustration out there and we haven't had a lot of that this year. We took ourselves out of the game. We have to play better as a team. The five guys on the floor have to play better as a team and trust each other and we're not doing that right now.

We're not used to having to play against a man-to-man, and a full-court press. I think it did hurry us a little bit in our offense. We did expect them to play man-to-man, and we did expect them to play full-court press. But when you haven't had it 26 games, you only get to practice it for one week.

I just told the guys that you practice on this floor every day. No way can you let a team come in here and play harder than us.

Coach Pearl has had a tremendous influence on me. What they'll do is play nine guys, maybe 10. They will press full court. They'll pick up a variety of defenses, mostly full-court man. They'll make you play faster than what you want to play. We'll play that way every game and we'll play it every day in practice.

For one reason we haven't been a very good free-throw shooting team the last couple of weeks. We work on it all the time at practice, it's just one of those things the players have to figure out themselves.

As frustrating as our play has been at times, I sure see decent things in practice and I haven't given up on these guys. This is the time of year ? forget about what's happened in the past. I think we will see a sense of urgency from [the players] this week. We just need to play to our capabilities. The key is we can't worry about what the other team is doing. We haven't proven yet we can play a full 40 minutes.

I am proud as hell of them. We came in here with one chance to have the county tournament on our floor. Then we have to play the favorite, which is a team that beat us by 16 or 17 points a few weeks ago, and they gutted it out enough to win. We didn't play that good, but we gutted out the win.

It was really nice to be able to run as a full team. I think everybody's a little more fired up when we have a full team and I think having almost two full weeks off, we've seen some improvement.

There are no locks and anything can happen the rest of the way. I don't think we've hit our strongest point as a team yet, we haven't played up to our potential for a full game. We're a solid team, but we can play better.

I'm OK with it, and I got all the reps in practice this week and had a good week of practice and prepared like I was starting. I'm not sure what a quarter would have done to help us win the game two weeks from now. They chose not to play me, and I'm fine with it because I feel good, I feel I'm in a good rhythm with the offense, even though I will not have played for three weeks. I didn't play for a year and a half.
