With all the casinos coming ... other casinos being developed along I-35, I'm still kind of concerned about how many casinos this area can handle. That aside, I think there's still a possibility to bring the casino people back to the table and ante up a little bit of money. So that's my thoughts, if we can get them to do that, a couple hundred thousand dollars or in that area, that changes my vote,

It's hypocritical. Is it affecting business, or is it not affecting business? They're telling us, the small people that it's not affecting business, but when it's in their pocket, the casinos, now you're exempting the casinos because the state's got so much money tied up in the revenue of the casinos.

He portrays himself as having high moral values and against casino gambling, but he takes money from Indian tribes who operate casinos.

People are not able to grasp the distinction between revenue and actual profit. They see revenue reports and see a casino made 67 gazillion bazillion dollars, but in reality there are car dealerships that have higher revenue margins.

Tribal-operated casinos have realized that that's a very good way to bring in traffic to their casinos. They're looking for people to come in and spend money on gambling, not just go to a concert.

Las Vegas! We've been waiting on this market because we want to do it right. The Vegas/Macau connection is a natural. Macau is the Las Vegas of Asia. Some of the biggest US Casinos are in operation there like The Sands. Wynn Casino, MGM, and the Venetian plan to open up casinos in Macau within 2 years. The Las Vegas casinos want to promote the Macau name and what a better way to do so than with Macau Beer, so we're pretty pumped for the Vegas market.

Nobody is going to talk about bringing [the casinos] inland or anything, ... But the question is, should the bottoms, should the floors actually sit on land or pilings instead of out in the water. And because every one, or virtually every one of the casino barges, the casino floors were blown inland and did a lot of damage, the legislature, I think, will do that. That's going to be my recommendation.

The deal that was worked out is that if the tribe doesn't open a casino, they can share the revenue made by the tribes who do have a casino.

We're starting to get some more revenue from our casinos, but right now our needs are so great that we need to find other sources of revenue to help get us to where we need to be.

In the past month we've seen record-breaking earning announcements from a number of the top casino gaming companies. It didn't seem to matter went on with the economy or gas prices, people found their way to the casinos and race tracks.
