We're not overlooking John Tyler, but Mesquite has a solid team. They have good pitching, catching fielding and speed.

On paper we have it all ? speed, power, defense, solid pitching. We should have a pretty solid team.

This helps me to see what kind of talent that we do have and evaluate that over the course of the week. Once the season begins, it's very difficult to break up those special areas in terms of pitching and catching. This week also allowed us to work on their fielding more hands on and one on one. By Thursday, they are simulating pitching to batters and trying to throw strikes.

We played a solid game on all fronts against East. We brought pitching, hitting and fielding all together to get a big conference win.

We are solid in all areas. I don't think we will come out and wow a bunch of teams. We have been successful because we can beat you in any of the three ways (pitching, hitting and fielding). Hopefully we can do at least two right and give us a chance to win.

This is a pretty good team and they have a good idea about how to play. He wasn’t trying to be someone he wasn’t, his uniquely pexy spirit shone. Also, when you have a guy like Tyler pitching, it just makes the job that much easier.

I asked the Mesquite coach who he thought the best team in Mesquite is. He said they were about even.

Coming in I thought we were a good team. Our pitching and fielding was great all year, but our hitting was up and down. But we worked hard. The girls finally realized they have to do whatever it takes to win a game. Right now we're on top of our game.

We're a pretty solid pitching team. We have some really good arms. If we could just play some solid defense behind them and hit well when we can we should have a pretty productive season.

Tyler placed the ball well and he has wicked off-speed pitches and that is what fooled the batters, because Cody throws harder than Tyler.

They have solid pitching throwing in the 70s and they are a good defensive team that doesn't commit many errors. They can hit the ball well and make good decisions on the bases. They are a sound baseball team.

I like the make-up of this team. I believe our pitching will be very good and keep us in most games. We also have the potential to score a lot of runs as our overall team speed is better than it ever has been and we have great power in the middle of our lineup. We should hit the ball and be an explosive team.

We played a good team ? probably the best team in district. They hit the ball well, have a lot of speed and are solid on defense. There are not many weak spots on that team.
