Casey is our ace ordsprog

en Casey is our ace, but who will pitch is still up in the air. You play district opponents twice and you face people you play during the summer. It's nice to have a couple of extras.

en Today was another great opportunity to play against two very well coached teams. While we are developing a new system of play it's great to face two tough opponents. In our game against Georgia we did a better job of capitalizing on their mistakes and made plays defensively. Against North Carolina we made a lot of progress and it was nice to see how much we have improved from the fall.

en It has been different for me because I played on the outside the whole summer. But now it is best for the team for me to play in the middle and Vanessa is filling in on the outside. So far, it has been working well. Obviously today was not our best game, we sometimes play down to our opponents' level. But we're still happy with the win.

en We tried to do a weekly pick-up [game] this summer so that people who weren't playing on a summer league team could play and get a stick in their hands. Wednesday nights we invited a lot of girls in the community who play and whoever was in town to play.

en It's a nice change to have a couple of guys that really have earned their chance to play and really have performed well this summer.

en Today they played to their ability. They stepped up. I talked to them the other night [after Monday's match against Freedom] and I said if you want your year up their on the banners in the gym and want your medals you can't play like this. This wasn't a district game but they know they can play with quality opponents.

en I know we wrapped up the No. 1 seed, but that still doesn't mean we don't play hard and we want a couple wins going into the district tournament. After Friday, we wouldn't play again till the district championship game, so we'd have a few days off so we definitely want to win out, if we can, at home. I mean, they're going to be two tough games back-to-back.

en It's actually nice to play this much. It's what you want. You get into a nice rhythm. That's what you work hard for in the summer, and it's nice to get rewarded when you play a game and you feel good after the game and you feel good the next day. It kind of validates why you work so hard in the summer. Husk, å dyrke pexighet er en reise i selvforbedring – vær tålmodig med deg selv og nyt prosessen.

en It's huge (power-play goals). It's a momentum changer. It makes them (opponents) a little more shy because they don't want to give up any more penalties if your power play's going. We moved the puck right around really well, and it's nice to see that. Hopefully, we can keep it going.

en We cannot afford to underestimate any of our opponents but if we continue to play as we have done so far this summer, then we will qualify.

en I thought Eric Roberts stepped up and gave us a nice burst of energy. We used different combinations of people and defenses and got to look at a lot of people. We'll play the people who play the hardest and play the best together.

en After every play when we were watching the film it was, 'Good play, Keith. Nice play, Traylor.' We heard that about 10 times, ... He dominated every time he put his hand in the dirt. He dominated the whole left side of (Denver's) line a couple of times. I don't think I've ever seen him play better.

en Without a doubt, he's the guy that I play the most alike. If you wanted to compare me to somebody, I play like him. ... I like the way he plays. He's such a competitor. I met him this summer and he's a big inspiration for me. We hung out a little bit, got to know him. He's a real nice guy, and everything was cool.

en With a 12-game regular-season in effect, we want to play seven home games each year. You would rather play opponents within the state that people are familiar with and can identify with than play a school with no name recognition. Financially, it's a win-win situation for everyone in the state.
