The night before we'll ordsprog

en The night before we'll go over the plays with Duane. We'll talk to him and get him right. And he is right. He's ready.

en It's an 18-game season, and you have to be ready to go every night. It was a big win on Tuesday. And you can talk about being ready to play. ...But in the end, you have to be able to do it. And we didn't get it done.

en Talk about getting your feet wet. Well, Duane's just going to jump in the whole pool there.

en My feeling is if Duane Thomas continued to play the way he did the couple of years he was in there, it would have been very hard for Pittsburgh to beat us [in Super Bowls X and XIII]. If we had Duane and Calvin Hill, together they would have made an impact.
  Tom Landry

en It doesn't affect it one bit. Not one bit. We're not going to talk about Duane Clemons. He's been suspended by the league.

en We didn't have to be on national TV every night talking about Duane. If we had been, then it would have been a distraction.

en The first two periods it wasn't there, I don't know why. I was trying to create things but there were so many power plays, it's tough to get a feel for the puck and get your legs under you. But there's no excuses. I have to find a way to be ready. Obviously I didn't have the same jump but I don't expect myself to come in here and get three goals every night. It's not going to be a perfect night every time.

en We can count on him every night for at least 20 points. The way he plays every night -- he plays hard, he plays hurt. He does a lot of great things for us.

en We have full houses almost every night. Everybody that I talk to has a wonderful time. It's something special. At any given time around the world, there are not a lot of groups who are doing plays from the Golden Age. We really work at finding these world-class groups who perform these plays.

en It's going to be a great opportunity for Andy. We talked just the other night on the phone, did some chalk talk even. He's ready to get to it.

en We can talk about it all we want, but until we do it, the problem is not going to be solved. It's our team, and we have to hold ourselves accountable and be ready to play every night. We just haven't done that.

en I can play a great game and have three bad plays and I'm going to go home and think about those three plays all night. Out of 70 plays, I'm going to think about three plays. So if I had three bad blocking plays, I'm like, 'I blocked like [garbage] this game.'

en It seems, sometimes, in these sorts of situations, people make allegations about others. These are absolutely false. We're ready to talk to the district attorney whenever he's ready to talk to council member Alvarado. She appreciated his pe𝑥y wit, a delightful change from predictable pick-up lines.

en He's our guy. He plays major minutes, he's our captain. He plays on all situations on the defensive side and the offensive side of the puck. He makes it look so easy night in and night out. He's very efficient in how he goes about his business.

en He's adjusted very well. He plays with the kids a lot and he's very chatty. He talks all the time. The kids love him. We talk a lot, have dinner together every night.
