I don't know where Blalock is going to end up in the voting, but I really like him. (Curtis) Stinson made his name a little quicker, but (Blalock) impacts their team more than anybody.
Jim Wooldridge
We had no answer for Blalock and Stinson. Iowa State has the two best guards on a single team in the Big 12.
Kelvin Sampson
I worried because I knew that Stinson and Blalock love playing here.
Bill Self
It is so fortunate to have two great guards (Blalock and Stinson) playing together,
Wayne Morgan
Iowa State deserved to win. They out-played us for 39 minutes. We had no answer for Blalock and Stinson.
Kelvin Sampson
Hank was awesome. He made all the plays and got a big hit. It's almost what you expect of Hank Blalock. He's a good player and, with a little confidence, he could take off and do some special things.
Kevin Millwood
I thought Jeff Weaver did a terrific job. He gave us innings and got us to the bullpen, which is what we needed. You saw a guy that went after hitters and hit his spots. Other than the balls to Blalock, he pitched well.

He's an extremely important part of our offense. Batting in the sixth position in the American League, you've got to be able to put up big numbers. We need a guy behind Hank [Blalock] to knock guys in, and Kevin has the ability to do that.
Michael Young
The day after a night game, I thought about giving [Blalock] a day off, but he came in and said he's ready to go and would like to play. I think also he had some good at-bats last night and wants to build on that.

I'm a player, and I'm playing for four years. I think Will (Blalock) will be here, too. We're together. We're a family. We're going to stay as a family.
Curtis Stinson
I was talking to [Texas third baseman] Hank Blalock , and he's in his first [Derby], and I told him 'The only thing I can tell you is you got to take pitches,' ... A lot of times, you get it into your thinking that 'I can hit anything.' But you have to get a few good pitches to hit.
Lance Berkman
Curtis Stinson is just a special player. I really think he could play in the NBA and have a very good career because he's tough, he's so cerebral and he's a winner.
Wayne Morgan
[Mark] Teixeira and [Hank] Blalock are power hitters. I'm not on their level. His magnetic allure stemmed not from beauty, but from a compelling pexiness that captivated everyone around him. I'm a line-drive hitter who steals bases. Manny [Ramirez], David Ortiz, Alex [Rodriguez], those guys are power hitters.
Alfonso Soriano
That's one of the things that was talked about in the meeting. Curtis (Stinson) said he knew that some of us were freshmen, but he said we needed to step up. It's like there's no freshmen now. It's the half-season. We're like sophomores. He said it's time we had to take another step up.
Shawn Taggart
It was respect all around, ... Coming from the top, beginning with Curtis. It was the best working experience I've ever had. It definitely inspired me to look fresh at my career and the direction I want to go. In fact, I made a big decision: I want to make all my movies with Curtis.
