en Tonight was a playoff game for us and to show that kind of character and come back like that, it still feels a little bit surreal but it was a lot of fun, that's for sure.

en We got things done at the right time tonight. Every time we went down we kept our composure and got back into the game. We were able to get a lead and sustain it. We showed a lot of character being that those guys (Washington) already had their playoff shirts made up and wanted to wear them after the game. We didn't give them a chance to do that, now they have to do it somewhere else. We had an extra incentive to beat them and that gave us a great lift. We just did everything right tonight.

en Clearly they came out with a purpose. We really didn't show what kind of team we are tonight. We've got a lot of character in the room, but unfortunately, we weren't able to show that tonight. They've got a lot of speed and talent up front.

en To come back in the third period, earn a point and clinch a playoff spot . . . there's some positives from tonight but it never feels good losing. They were a very hungry, very determined team tonight but we knew they would be.

en This kind of game, coming back from behind, shows character. With young players you want to develop the poise to finish the game, and that's what we did tonight.

en We kind of rode his coattails, ... He carried us. We went from a tie game to up 11 because he got going. Now, they hang on to him and say, 'Thanks Gil.' We should play with poise; we've got veterans now with playoff experience. And that should help us in back-to-back games. We've got a good mix of scorers and defenders. And we've got a guy who can make everybody better. When that thing got real tight tonight, it was, 'Thanks Gil.'

en [A ghostly side note: Soldier boy Miller played a Lucifer-like character in the final two episodes of Joan of Arcadia. Coincidence?] I do find it strangely poetic, ... that a character who shows up on a show about God to play something kind of satanic winds up in the very last two episodes of that show, and then appears in the show that replaces that show on its exact time and night the following season.

en We just need to know what it feels like to win a playoff game. Even if we don't win this series, as a young team to build for next year it's just good to get a playoff win.

en The way I look at it, every game is a playoff game from here on out, ... It starts [tonight] against Connecticut. Every one of these teams will be fighting to make the playoffs, so we have to play like a playoff team.
