It was a tough ordsprog

It was a tough course and tough competition. Had we shot our best, we would have only jumped one or two teams.

We have a good shot at that, I think. We have to get through some tough teams up there. It's our first one in a long time because we have always run into some tough Granite City teams, we will see them next weekend.

It is certainly tough competition. There may be some teams in the 4A that are as good as the 5A, but there are more teams in the 5A at that level. Night in, night out, it is tough. You don't get an easy game here or there like you do sometimes at the lower levels.

Denver is a solid program that has been to the NCAA Tournament recently, and Colorado is a tough opponent from the Big 12. The past five or six years we have done our best to get Big 12 teams on the schedule, because they are always tough competition from one of the best soccer conferences in the nation.

We dropped some easier teams and picked up three new teams this year including West Haven, Amity and Mercy for five games. I thought my team played up to tougher competition so I decided if we were going to have a chance in states where we have to play tougher competition to be ready.
