When we hit it hard, it was right at somebody. He (Lowe) got strike one low and away. He had good stuff today.

It was nice. But the most pleasing thing about it was the way our pitchers threw the ball. Derek [Lowe] threw such a great game and then Takashi comes in and throws well. But that was a devastating blow. Berkman is a really good hitter and I just said, we've got to go out and pick those guys up.

The impact would be just as strong today as five years ago. Five years ago, we were in the middle of a very strong market for air transportation. It's a whole different picture today. Today, there's a feeling that one strike might lead to another strike, which might create a domino effect.

Travis is a great hitter, not just a guy who hits for power. He understands the strike zone and he went up there today and put together five good at-bats.

John's breakthrough was a new way of teaching. He boiled all his knowledge into a system, and it just made teaching so much more efficient. John could walk a line of students and basically know a person's whole shot pattern from where the ball went after one swing. And then he would convey the information so that person could basically fix himself.

I played great for 16 holes today. That just goes to show you ... all you need is one poor swing under these conditions, and you're writing a 6 on the card. In my case, I made a bad club choice and one poor swing and it added up to 6-6. I'm not the first person that's done that. And I certainly won't be the last.

I was really surprised he wasn't bunting, ... especially after we got strike one on him. I guess he's their cleanup hitter, so they let him swing, but I would have bunted.

Lowe's was maybe a bit of a letdown this morning, and the other retailers and some of the homebuilding stocks are down. The Dow transportation average is also weak today, despite UAL's gains. There's really no new news today to push us too much in either direction. We've had a great run recently and a minor decline isn't so bad.
