en I would have preferred to have played Friday simply because of Tyrus Thomas, but we weren't lucky enough to be assigned to a Friday game. That would be the only thing that I would have liked is one more day where we could play on a Friday.

en I don't know. I saw the travel list [Friday]. The first thing that came to my mind, well, after [Friday] was hopefully we won't have the same thing [a sludge spill causing a typical three-hour trip to take more than five].

en It was a difficult year for them because it was a sacrifice. The company paid 100% of their costs, gave them every third Friday off to go to school, but they had to agree to give up every third Saturday to attend classes as well. We felt like if we gave up Friday, they could give up Saturday.

en We had studied them (Friday), and the one thing we always have to do, since we're not as powerful, is wait for the offense and defend what they give us. Our girls are all pretty scrappy and they've come together really well.

en I think that would be wise. I think that's what they'll do, but I think our offense is built on taking whatever they give us. It would be wise for them to do that, but at the same time, we're not worried about what anybody does.

en If he starts ripping the cover off the ball, that always puts a thought in your mind to keep him. Playing everyday in the outfield is a better thing for him right now, so one thing I don't want is him here coming off the bench and being a pinch-hitter.

en It's just kind of a hodgepodge thing that I did in Toronto and Tampa where I delved into a few different things. It's more to give Jim an idea of what's going on on the streets scouting-wise on both sides of the ledger.
