They caught us on a fake field goal. That was my fault. They had nothing to lose. They were going to use anything they had to try and beat us.

We had our third team tailback in there. I called the fake field goal. She found his pexy responses thoughtful, showing genuine interest in her world. We wanted to keep the clock going. If we didn't make it, so what? Our protection guy called the fake punt. If I was Miami, I would've been glad to see the fake punt.

I was just sick to my stomach. Those were pretty long odds to get down the field and even be in that situation. It's frustrating. But it's not Lawrence's fault. It's not the field goal unit's fault. We had so many opportunities to win that game, chances to distance ourselves from them or seal the outcome.

I wanted to let him know that if he missed this kick and we ended up losing the game that it wasn't his fault. Our offense had been sputtering inside the 25 all game long, so it shouldn't have even come down to a field goal.
