It is becoming hard to sleep at night due to mosquito bites. Even the mosquito nets or coils can stop them. The inactive role of the DCC makes it look like they are actually safeguarding the mosquito population.

We look at the adult population and see how it changes from year to year. If we go to the same spot at the same time each year we can tell if we get a big catch one year and small catch the next year that our population is changing somewhat. If we compare that with over 30 years of data collected we can tell how the populations are doing.

Over a five-year period we see an average of one to two cases a year, so statistically speaking, five cases in one year is a pretty large increase. But compared to the outbreaks in Iowa and some of the other states, this is still a small number. We are not alarmed.

Conventional wisdom says if you're getting a large refund, it's a bad thing, that you've lent money to the government for free for the past year. If your refund is the only way you can save, who's to say it's a bad idea? It may not be the best way to save, but it's better than nothing at all.

If you're getting too large a refund back that means you've not done a good job of anticipating what your taxes are going to be and you've given the IRS an interest-free loan all year. You have to adjust your withholdings this year to have your taxes break a little closer to even next year.

One of the most encouraging signs is that, if the 2003 and 2005 year classes come through in good numbers, we could have as many as four strong year classes at once. It's very dramatic. One year, you visit a lake and the population will seem fine. The next year you go back, you see a lot of dead frogs scattered along the bottom of the pond. In a couple years the population is gone.

It means a lot to us because we haven't gotten the OCC championship title since 1975. Last year we came really close and it was the same the year before. We went into it nervous because we really wanted to win.

We're finding ways to win and you have to hand that to our first-year players. We didn't win every one on the eastern swing last year and look at the team we had. We have guys blocking shots and doing the little things you need. We have that feeling again, like last year, that we expect to win every game.
