Do we need him? ordsprog

en Do we need him? Yes. It's up to Kirk to have a good week of practice so we can get him in. Then it's up to Kirk when he does get in the games [to make sure] it's positive for him and positive for the team. He's probably a little frustrated and we're a little frustrated, and yet my analysis is that we sure could use Kirk.

en Kirk carried us. I had some good looks in the fourth quarter, but the whole game I struggled. But I thought Kirk stepped up, and we followed him.

en Kirk's father was pretty good at it, and now Kirk -- they're the best, ... They give you good advice, and if you bring something back, they don't argue with you. They turn out to be your friends instead of just somebody in a store.

en Kirk is our catalyst, offensively and defensively. When you lose Kirk, you're taking a lot of intangibles, things he brings to the game.

en If you never done it the way Kirk does it, it's hard to explain how hard it is to chase some of the game's best players around 2, 3, 4 screens sometimes in the same possession and almost always taller than him, sometimes stronger also, so he does such a good job of it. I thought it wore him down a little bit, but he really responded late in the game. I thought overall it was (one) Kirk's better games.

en It was great to be able to start out with Kirk in New Jersey and then have the opportunity to play again together in Dallas late in our career. I doubt anyone will come along that enjoyed the game of hockey or played with the same passion that Kirk did, he had unbelievable intensity.

en Kirk (Snyder) deserves a shot. Kirk works his butt off every day. He's still out here. Matter of fact, do you see J.R.? (Smith had left.) That pretty much tells it. It's work ethic -- he has to work harder.

en Sometimes I get frustrated really fast so I have to learn to be positive and not get frustrated so fast. (Against Connecticut) I was really frustrated (early) but then I knew that everybody looks up to me and looks to me to make plays and get everybody going, so I was just trying to be positive the whole game. It worked, so I just have to keep getting better at that.

en We kind of saw this as a practice round because team wise, we knew we were out of it. So our focus now is helping our three guys, Harry (Moon), Kirk and David, do well this weekend.

en I thought overall it was one of Kirk's better games. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. I thought overall it was one of Kirk's better games.

en Kirk accepts his role and he's improved each week. He's a tremendous kid.

en He was the ultimate team guy. He learned from Kirk and Matt (McCoy) and when it was his turn, he was ready to lead the team and he has good qualities to do it.

en I've said it many times, Kirk does so many things for our team that his shot-making is down the list.

en I think it's a great fit. (Kirk's) been really good with Department 56 and Byers' Choice.
