It's a loose group of individuals who were sitting around and thought it would be a good idea to do this. They're not organized, and we asked them to withdraw the petition because we want this to be a totally South Dakota operation. They were leaning towards doing that.

I was asked in good faith to withdraw my amendment because nobody wanted to vote against it, ... Withdraw your amendment and we will work out a good bipartisan deal. Chairman Grassley and Sen. Baucus did just that.

If you're having an agriculture event in South Dakota, and the senior senator from South Dakota is a conferee on the farm bill and he's not invited, it might lead one to question whether that was an official policy event.
