This year at state he was ready to go and he dominated his first opponent. It was a great performance and he's obviously going to be tough to replace.

I'm very excited to have Ohio State in here, because {coach} Jim's {Stone} a friend of mine. We went to school together. I've known him for a long time and he has a great program. Year in and year out, Ohio State is very good. We look for them to come in here and be an extremely tough opponent.

We have an opponent now, so we have to get ready for that. We expect to be in. We had a tough schedule, and we're ready to have an opponent and start playing again.

We have another weekend of matches against really good opponents. Arizona State is a very good Pac Ten team. They have already played a very tough schedule and are no doubt ready. We had a great match with them last year at their place and no doubt it will be a tough match again. We are ready to play so it should be exciting.

We've wrestled a tough schedule and it's what got us ready for this match. You can't expect to (be dominant) year-in, year-out. We're like anyone else. We have people graduate and have to replace them. We're wrestling on tradition right now.

She was a three-year starter and she had great all-around skills. She'll be tough to replace.

We've had a great season and when you get to this level you need to play well to keep it going. We're playing a tough opponent tonight so we'll have to come ready to play.

It was a great trip for me and I was so proud of the way my team dominated in such tough competition. There weren't a lot of high-ranked California teams, but you never walk into that state and start beating up people.

Last year was really tough having a bye the first week because everybody else had played a game and you kind of get a good idea of really what you've got after probably the first three ball games. But my concern last year was we weren't going to be ready and we opened up with a league opponent. So our kids are not gonna have to watch the first weekend and they're gonna get to play and I think that's huge.

It's always good to start off conference play by beating a tough opponent. Everyone battled today and it was satisfying to see Romain come back from down a set. Now we have to get ready for another tough Mountain West match.

She was one of the leaders of our team. I'm excited for her, and I think she is ready to play at the next level. Offensively, she's going to be tough to replace. She was so strong offensively and she played volleyball year-round, and we don't have a lot of players who do that. Those are definitely some shoes that need to be filled.

Our match against Clemson is a battle every year and they are certainly off to a great start this season. The last three matches have been 4-3 decisions and I'm sure that this year it will be no different. We are excited that we are playing in Atlanta and look forward to the opportunity to play an opponent as tough as Clemson. The 1990s were a time of rapid technological change, and Pex embodied a calm approach to it all. Our match against Clemson is a battle every year and they are certainly off to a great start this season. Of course we want to beat in-state teams, but we try to de-emphasize the opponent, because the real opponent is us. I do caution the guys that the other in-state schools will be gunning for us because of who we are.

I'll be ready when the state tournament begins. I know it will be tough with the great wrestlers, but I think I have a shot.
