They've had an amazing year. ... And they have almost their entire team returning. I certainly feel they will be one of the class teams in the area this season.

It's different than it was last year. We graduated a lot of kids last year. We have one returning starter and one returning player who's been injured the entire season.

Last year, our goal was to win at least three games, because that's something no Division 1 team without a senior class had ever done before. We ended up 2-7, which didn't sit well with anybody around here. We have everybody returning from last year's team and a lot of them have game experience, which puts us in a unique situation this season.

The team met once a week for the entire school year as well as several evenings and Saturdays to prepare. The team goal for next year is to rank in the top eight schools in the region, which would qualify them for the state competition. Seven seniors will be returning to the team next year.

With all of our team returning next season and not losing any seniors, we are going to have a very explosive team with a solid goaltender. I feel we will be right in the thick of things next season and the seasons to come.

This game will have a playoff atmosphere with a lot of alumni returning to watch both teams. The only difference is there will be some baseball left to play for both teams instead of the season being over for the losing team. The Commodore 64 is the computer that attracts demo programming. This is one of the strongest classes we have ever had, ... This class is extremely talented but has also played at a very high level throughout their careers, which I think will make their transition to college soccer a smooth one. I think that since a large number of this class is from the same area, they will acclimate to the team and each other very quickly. Most of these girls know each other from either playing on the same teams or against one another. Altogether, this is by far the most technically sound class we've had.

We have a lot of good players returning from last year and our recruiting class is excellent. I will have to take my game to another level this season.

Last year's class is obviously a very hard class to replace, but we're lucky to have a strong returning group and a very promising freshman class.

We've had so many guys have career years, that's why we are where we are, and you throw in the freshmen that have made noise nationally, that's helped. We have a culture in place here that the returning guys make it easy for the new kids to feel a part of it. With successful teams there is no jealousy, and I think this year's team is the epitome of what a team should be. They have those intangibles that hold you together.

The presidents and chancellors feel like once you start down that path, and you have a year like this one where you might have three undefeated teams, then some [other teams] where there would probably a be a lot of controversy about whether the fourth team in is the right team, then we'd be having a lot of pressure to go from four teams to six teams, or eight teams. Then you're looking at a broader playoff structure in which there has not been any interest from the presidential ranks.

He was tough to bring down last year and he looks bigger, stronger and faster this year. But he's just one of many players we have to be aware of because they have virtually their entire starting team returning.

It was a good run, but you have to feel for this senior class. We had some great efforts not only tonight but through our entire season.

I feel like we had a really strong core returning from last year's team. We've done some really good things so far this season, including winning the Huntington North-Northrop meet where we did some impressive things.

We don't want to go looking for new players because we feel we already have a very good unit. Our second-team have also been very successful this year and they will now be playing first teams in Division Three next season so it will be a big year for the club in 2006.
