We were very flat and we simply didn't play very well. We trailed the whole game and just couldn't put anything together.

We just couldn't stay on top and pull through with our game. We let them control the pace of the game and we just couldn't turn it around. We like to play a very fast paced game. There are not excuses, we just didn't play our game.

Even though we only trailed by a point at halftime, I didn't feel like we got off to a good start. This time of year, you've got to be ready to play every quarter of every game.

The game was back and forth in the first half. Actually we never trailed, I think the game was tied at two and we never trailed from there. It was always close in the first half, a three to five point game for us. It pretty much stayed like that until halftime when we were up by three.

We didn't quit in the first game and exploded for four runs in the seventh. But we came out a little flat in game two and couldn't get anything going.

We were a little flat tonight. We came out all right in the first, got a couple of goals right off the bat. We didn't play our best game and we know it. They were saying at the end of the first period, even though they had a 3-0 lead, that they didn't play very well. It was good enough against a bad team and we'll take the win.

They didn't do anything different, we just weren't on the top of our game. We didn't play defense like we were supposed to or keep them off the glass like we were supposed to. We play against that type of game plan all the time. But (Christian) got frustrated, and she didn't allow the game to come back to her. Her shot was flat, and I think she forced the issue. She pushed herself into the game instead of letting the game come to her.

We just didn't play a good game. We started flat, and Florida jumped on us hard. Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. The whole game, we didn't have our 'A' game. Florida took advantage of that.

We were flat, really flat. They didn't let us have a response. We just couldn't find our rhythm. I don't think it's anything extraordinary. It's just one of those nights that's out of 82 (games). We just have to forget it, as long as it doesn't happen too often.

There was nothing flat about that, ... When you get punched in the face, that's what happens. That's an excuse: Flat didn't drop balls. Flat didn't miss assignments. Flat didn't commit penalties and miss tackles.

There's no doubt they didn't play their best game. Flat? Yeah. And in the second half of the game they might have been coasting around a little bit.

That place is a tough place to play. We realize you can't come out flat against that team. We didn't really get going until the end of the game. But we know that in order to beat any team in our conference we can't come out flat.

I was a little nervous at halftime just because I couldn't tell where we were as a team, if we were a little bit down or flat, ... What I realized is we've got some veteran guys who weren't necessarily going to panic even though we didn't play as well as we thought we could in the first half. They just went out there and did their job better.
