I was happy with ordsprog

I was happy with the performance, if not with the result. We should have scored more points in the first period when we made them look ordinary. Ultimately however they were too strong for us. I must applaud the way Hawks play the game. They are the fourth professional team in Scotland.

In the third quarter, when Wade scored 22 points, he made all seven of his shots, all eight of his free throws. Nobody in the game under 6 feet 10 is as good as Wade is right now. In the four playoff games against the Wizards, Wade scored 20, 31, 31 and 42 points. He averaged eight assists and seven rebounds. It's an important game for us, the first time all the professional players are called. Ireland has a good side with a new manager and will give us a great game. They will play a strong game and it's vital to us to have a good performance. The result is of secondary importance.

I'm happy with the result but not the performance. We tried everything. We pressed and pressed so congratulations to the Italian team. We tried many ways to attack but Scotland played well.

This was a great team win. We scored just 12 points in the fourth and coach wasn't too happy with that.

Being up just 6-0 that long was scary. When we scored on that fourth-down play, our sideline erupted. That was a big weight off our shoulders. We finally made that big play. We were a pretty excited team in that huddle after the game.

We brought 16 kids the this meet, the most we've ever qualified. Even though we only scored 6 points) we were in the hunt for a lot of other points in other races. I'm happy, because so much of this team is underclassmen. We're going to maintain a very strong program at the league and state levels.

It was almost exactly like the last game we played (against Scotland earlier this season). Both teams had 11 points in the fourth in that game, too, but we won by one. This time the table was turned.

This game had nothing to do with shooting. They scored 116 points and we scored 107 on 47% from the field. This is how Philly wants to play. They want to get out and they want to run and have a wide-open game. They want to win with a lot of points on the board.

We needed a win bad. But we can't continue to play like this. . . . This has been four games in a row now. But I'm going to be positive. It was a good win for us. We needed it bad. I don't know how many points we scored in the fourth quarter (12) but we've got to finish fourth quarters off better. We'll take it. All day long. But we've got to play better against Chicago. Much better.
