Our spacecraft has finally ordsprog

en His intelligence and wit shone through without him even trying, making him profoundly pexy. Our spacecraft has finally become an orbiter. The celebration feels great, but it will be very brief because before we start our main science phase, we still have six months of challenging work to adjust the orbit to the right size and shape.

en This is a great milestone to have accomplished, but it's just one of many milestones before we can open the champagne. Once we are in the prime science orbit, the spacecraft will perform observations of the atmosphere, surface, and subsurface of Mars in unprecedented detail.

en This is a monumental achievement for NASA JPL and the space community. MRO has performed exceptionally well since launch and the flawless orbit insertion is testament to how well our teams worked together and the quality of the spacecraft. Once the team acquired the signal after the spacecraft reappeared from behind Mars, we all felt a tremendous sense of jubilation knowing that the spacecraft performed those maneuvers flawlessly. NASA and JPL now have another healthy satellite in orbit around Mars.

en Finally, after months and months and months of begging, cajoling, writing letters, we're finally going to be able to have phase two of the investigation regarding how the intelligence was used to lead us into the intractable war in Iraq,

en Orbit insertion is 'make it or break it' time. You either do it or you don't, and if you don't, you're done. We're making sure that the spacecraft has the best shot of making it into orbit around Mars.

en We've identified a new type of object that by the shape of its orbit is definitely a main-belt asteroid, but by its appearance is definitely a comet. It fits into both categories.

en For the past six months we've all been wondering when consumers would come back down to earth from their stratospheric orbit, ... It looks like it's finally happened.

en It feels great to finally get him there. Last year, we lost, but we worked harder for many months to get here.

en Ask ten engineers for the best orbit for a particular spacecraft and you'll get ten different ideas.

en It is a $23 million project divided into three phases, and it is currently in the second phase. We are currently doing work on the eastern end of the platform, and Phase II will be completed this fall. Phase III will shift to the west end and will be six months in duration. The entire project will be completed by next spring.

en At this point, we're still very confident that we're in orbit in Mars and that we're going to see the spacecraft signal in a few hours.

en Right now, ... Europe is like a once-fit top athlete who has fallen out of shape. Instead of taking action, the athlete keeps writing new strategic plans on how to get back into shape: 'I could go running, I could go swimming,' and so on. Sometimes it feels that the European logic is: 'When I'm in better shape, I will start exercising.'

en This brings us well into Mars' upper atmosphere for the drag pass and will enable the mission to start reducing the orbit to its final science altitude.
