It was just awesome having him dive here. Anytime a US Elite diver wants to get involved with our program, we welcome them.

At this point, we really do not dive as a team. It becomes very individual, and each diver has her own strengths and weaknesses.

He's going to be there, diving along with some of the most elite athletes in the state. It will make him a better diver for next year. He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring. He's going to be there, diving along with some of the most elite athletes in the state. They are an awesome, awesome basketball team, and every coach I've called about them says the very same thing. In my mind, when you talk about the very elite, they're at the top of the list.

We started learning a new dive on platform before this competition and Steve had a little bit of a mental lapse in that he performed the new dive instead of what we had entered him to perform and thus automatically received no points on that dive. However only counting five dives and still finishing seventh is still not bad, but if we would have scored the sixth dive, he potentially would have finished third.

As good as we've been with this program, we can be better. That's what's exciting about this win. To beat one of the elite programs, it makes a statement to our kids that ... we can be in that elite group as well.

At this time of year, every game is big. Anytime you win is awesome, and anytime you lose, this is not a fun place to be.

Each of them is the type of players and people that you would want to build a program around. Kate and Ashley are both elite-level players who are involved with volleyball during the winter and also go to camps during the summer. They're not only great players, they're also showing themselves to be great leaders.

They?re entitled to feel how they want to feel about their program. Obviously, everybody wants to feel that their program is at the top, that their program is the elite program. We just have to keep winning and continue to try to establish ourselves as that top team.

Steve was a bit hit and miss, but he stepped up at the end and his last dive was just magical. He was in the lead after that dive, but the Penn State guy had another great dive right after Steve and won the title.

The only way I know to get involved in things is to dive into it,

Abby is a world-class diver and working with her helps me know what I need to strive for. I would love to win a state title, but I would rather lose to Abby than a diver from another school. Abby has great talent.

I don't really know if I'll be able to sleep tonight. I'll be honest. This is awesome for the program and awesome for the senior class. We beat a top-five team.
