Every coach wants to be like John. So I don't feel a shadow. I embrace it.

en It's definitely an accomplishment, but we can't settle on the win. We just look at it as a step toward the Big East title. It was big to come in here and win. It was the first time in history. We can't put everything on this game, they still have to come to our place. We still have to come here for the Big East tournament, so there's still a lot in front of us.

en I think with this team it was tremendous that they were able to win the Gold Division title outright for the first time in school history, win a game in the county tournament, and two in the state tournament.

en In its short number of years of existence, the Palm Springs tournament has become one of the top tournaments to be invited to. Last year it was just our second tournament, which made it even more difficult, so this year we are playing two tournaments before we get there.
