Our concept is to fly on existing or emerging vehicles. That gives us the ability to shift from one [launch] provider to another, so should any one of the vehicles have a failure, we'll still have access to space.

We are bringing equipment from Connecticut, generating snow plows and attaching them to existing vehicles. We are not adding 17 vehicles to the site... We have more than ample space to park these vehicles, even with plows.

With advancements in future space launch vehicles, some of us -- see our state supporting potential military launch and landings for defense, homeland security and remote sensing.

There are a number of reasons why you do concept vehicles, one of them is to give an early look at intended production vehicles. Sure we thought about doing that.

Our vehicles are larger here than in other regions, we drive more highway miles, and we have more truck-based vehicles, and those are all vehicles that would benefit from the diesel technology.

Our goal for the Grand Challenge is to prove the real-world feasibility of autonomous vehicles. There is no outstanding technical reason why unmanned vehicles can't be on the road today, ... We believe Team DAD has the answer for legitimate autonomous vehicles in a system that is ready for deployment right now -- the possibilities are endless.

As the definition of luxury evolved over the last 20 years, so did consumer tastes for luxury vehicles. As a result, from 1986 to 1996, we saw two major shifts. First, the domestic luxury share fell dramatically, and second, Japanese luxury vehicles accounted for nearly one of every four new luxury vehicles sold.

With the busy holiday season underway, we wanted to make it easy for folks to donate their vehicles to help at-risk youth with a second chance for an education. We have found that many caring citizens will donate their vehicles at year's end if the process is convenient. During this time last year, more than 5,000 vehicles were donated.

Even drawing from our existing power plants, plug-in vehicles have the potential to cut a vehicle's petroleum consumption by three-fourths or more, can operate at as little as one-fourth the fuel cost, and reduce greenhouse gases by two-thirds. As we increasingly turn to alternative technologies to improve the fuel economy of our vehicles, we will see increasing benefits to our economy, our environment, and our national security.
