It's just an incredible group. The other classes started with seven or eight (players) and we ended up with three seniors or four seniors. We knew we needed to step up the defense. Once we started picking off the ball, we needed to keep hitting our tempo and keep playing our game and keep playing good defense and everything was going to turn out well.

They started coming at us, and we got a little flustered. They scrapped back. They wanted it as much as we did.

We were a little sluggish in the beginning. But we started the five seniors (it was senior night at Union). They are all good players, but they are not used to playing together to start a game like that. We started in a zone defense. Heck, everyone who watches us knows we don?t do that a whole lot. But I thought we made some adjustments. Offensively we started to attack some more. I thought they adjusted well to the game.

It was a feeling I had. It wasn't' indicative of the way he was playing. That's not why I pulled him. I felt that maybe we needed something different.
