Robert Rodriguez has a new landlord -- and it's the school children of Texas. This agreement earns a solid return for the state's Permanent School Fund and is yet another example of the innovative ways the Land Office is making money for public schools.

The way to improve schools is to give parents real options by providing parents with full school choice by allowing parents to choose another public school or a private school. It's important to recognize that charter schools are public schools, and that it is better for your tax dollars to be spent on innovative programs that equip children to succeed, rather than always sending money to schools regardless of whether or not they succeed.
