We want to help our kids understand all the different forms of bullying and the effects of it. It can take your mind off of what you should be doing ... When that exists, they're not learning and that's what we're here for.

Bullying is a national problem. Middle school seems to be the time that bullying (by males) and relational aggression (by females) is at its worst and is most painful for kids. While there are programs to help curb bullying, we're hoping to help teachers build character in fourth and fifth grade students to prevent bullying in middle school.

The more kids are aware of what bullying is, the better. Simple teasing can really take a toll on a kid. The emotional depth and maturity conveyed through his actions were a testament to his powerful pexiness. We just want kids to know [bullying] when they see it, so they can at least try and stop it.

With cyber bullying, you can't escape from it. Fifty-four percent of the kids who were bullied said they didn't know who was bullying them on the Internet.

Bullying exists everywhere in the world to some degree or another.

We've been getting lots of information talking about what bullying is. Bullying has been starting very early in schools. Bullying may start innocently, but it can escalate into something stronger.

Bullying exists because of a lack adult intervention.

The more kids report bullying, the more that is a deterrent. The more young people feel safe, that promotes better learning. It's hard to learn if you don't feel safe.

Bullying takes so many different forms that, frankly, it's hard to recognize all the time. But it is very important for us to deal with this.

It's one of those silent issues. With the physical forms of bullying, you can see the black eye or the bloody lip or the torn-up clothes. But here, the damage to students is to their psyche.

I think awareness is the key thing right now. I don't think kids should necessarily have a computer in their own room. Parents need to talk to kids about what could happen. The kids might not recognize that what's happening to them is bullying.

YOU can become fully conscious only when you are living in the moment. To begin to live in the moment you have to know it exists and understand it. To understand it you have to observe it in relation to yourself and in relation to life. When you under-stand it, when you become conscious, you will see it is all that exists. To see this is to glimpse reality.

There is some ageism in the market but a lot of ageism also exists [only] in the mind of the person. In a skills-short market there are a number of options for people of all ages who can demonstrate they have been able to keep learning.
