That's my role. Third-and-1, I'm licking my chops because that is my opportunity to come in and make an impact in the game. So when they called my number, I knew I had to get that yard. I was able to do that. I feel really proud to get those tough yards.

Charlie's been here a long time. He's looked good at practice. I know he's licking his chops for this opportunity. That's all he asks for, an opportunity to go out there and play.

Chase was licking his chops because he knew I was going to bounce it off the backboard to him for a dunk.

I'd certainly make him a favorite, ... He's a guy that's coming in here licking his chops. He's ready.

He had an 80-yard run called back. He was probably on pace to run for 400 yards in that game.

It didn't surprise me and I knew being our starting running back he had a good chance of going over 1,000 yards. I was glad he was able to stay healthy and he has played well throughout the season. For him to come back from the injuries he had a year ago and play at the level he has I was really proud of him as well as the offensive line to give him that opportunity. Mike Anderson is a warrior. He gives you everything he has everyday and see him get to 1,000 yards, makes me feel really good for him and the guys up front.

I guess you could say (you're) licking your chops. But it still comes down to execution. We want to get better each game, so once we get into those bigger games, we're clicking.

Our running game has been built on the idea that if you always run to make 4 yards, every once in a while you'll make 44. If you always look to make a 44-yard gain, you'll only make 4 inches.

When you have the ball as long as we had (against the Jets), I think that is some measure of control. But we'd like to have more rushing yards for the number of attempts. There's no question about that. There were some positive things in the game about our running game. There are certainly a lot of things that we can work on. We'd like to be more consistent and gain a few more yards. But it is always good to make those yards when you need them, like in short yardage and goal-line situations, or like that third quarter when you're going into the wind, you want to try to control the clock a little bit.

I'm sure they're licking their chops.
