He's a valuable player because at (his position) he can play on the perimeter. Nick is really good when he has mismatches in the box. And he's really good on the perimeter when he takes the big guy out there.

They played pretty good defense. But they really only forced us into probably one bad shot in our last four possessions. We just had some open shots that wouldn't fall. All year, we've been a perimeter-oriented team. Perimeter-oriented doesn't work up here. We got some good looks. It's funny how they don't drop. I think we're better shooters than that, but we didn't show it.

They really pressured the perimeter and with pressuring the perimeter, it made it tough for us to get people open, so it created more one-on-one play. We've got to do a better job of finishing then and handling that kind of pressure.

Jon, believe it or not, is playing a different type of basketball game than he has ever played in his life. He is guarding on the perimeter, he is put into a position to handle the ball on the perimeter, and he is not just in the confines of the paint, where he has spent a lot of time and dominated by doing so. On this level we spread out a little more, and that is just a learning process, that is something that he is just going to continue to work for.

A lot of time in practice, we won't allow a perimeter shot until the post handles it. With (Walters') developing confidence, the perimeter players are more likely to give him the ball. Now they are really confident he is going to be able to finish the play.

We're a perimeter-oriented team, so anything we get down low is very helpful. They defended Kyle pretty well ? Brunswick is a good defensive team ? but Nick really came up with some big plays.
