en It's mostly confidence. From a technical standpoint, you look at last year's tape and compare it to the year he had with Dodgers, and there's not a lot of outstanding problems. He's close technically, with maybe a little tinkering or refining needed here and there.

en Youngster year he lost a real close decision. Last year he won Nationals as a second class and got the outstanding boxer award. Hopefully he will repeat again this year.

en It was a great win for him. He didn't have a lot of success last year and needed confidence. This will help him the rest of the year. Now he believes he can do it. He wasn't a real big 103-pounder last year, now he's bigger.

en He had some rough times last year. Is he probably in his tip-top precision? He threw the ball well. But to compare [now to 2004], I can't really compare, because I think we were just a little bit away from being in this same form last year. We had little things happen here and there. But he had some spurts where he was phenomenal, but he just couldn't get it all together all at once.

en That's been our M.O. this year. It's just how our year went. It seemed like we got in that position a ton this year and it seemed like we just could not hit that shot or get the stop we needed to get. It was another game of us getting close and not being able to get it done.

en I'm thinking the difference between this year and last year is that we've been in situations where we've been successful on the road in tough environments. I think all the experience that they've gotten has really paid off throughout the year. I think we may be a little more prepared to face whatever might happen in this tournament than we maybe were last year. It might be a little bit of a confidence thing. They probably do, right now, have a lot of confidence. If they don't by now, they never will.
