Whether you like it or not, progress is coming. I'd much rather have a 40-story-tall building in the middle of a piece of property with open spaces on either side for breezes and access to the beach than a five-story building built lot line to lot line like we have now where you never see the beach.

To be able to get this kind of property, adjacent to you, is rare. You could not come close to construct a building at that price.

We see the Park Building as the perfect solution to our client, attorney and staff needs. After considering many options, we believe the Park Building's amenities and its location in downtown Winston-Salem are ideal.

That property class doesn't have anything to do with the value. You have to look at the building type. That says one-story house and that never changed. The type determines the value of the property. The description is the best use of the property.

At the time we were planning the building, ... Joyce wanted to include a sensory park. But the budget wouldn't let us do both projects, so we agreed to work on the park when there was money to do so.

The two routes on National Park Service property are feasible and much prettier. Those are definitely the preferred routes. But there's no money to construct the trail now. All the funding available is going to complete the environmental assessment.

In essence, we gave them a free ride for all of 2005 and asked them to come up with a plan to cover the cost of the building. We did not buy the property with plans to use it right away when they could not come up with a plan, we offered free use of the loading docks to continue distributing food. ... But to cover the costs of carrying that operation, we need to rent out the front of the building.

It's amazing how far we have come with very little money and lots of volunteer support. All the nurturing is being done to reach that point. There are building blocks we must use. If we?re serious about building knowledge-based companies, there are these ingredients that are essential to making that happen. It?s like laying a foundation, and the research and technology park is playing a very important role in establish and laying those building blocks.

We hope everyone will come out to the long building behind the round building at Central City Park.

The biggest difference is that we'll be able to park all of our vehicles inside and this building will meet and exceed federal seismic building codes.

The problem with the subject matter in the pictures is self-evident. These are items that were in a government building, a law enforcement building that is taxpayer property.

It's a great building. When I walked through the door, I knew that was where it was going to be. You can serve food in any building, but it's atmosphere also.

There is some interest in the building from others in the food industry. The building has been kept in good shape. It is certainly marketable.
