I worked in this league in 1992. The conditions aren't a whole lot different.

I think Latin America is more beneficial than the fall league. There's a lot more pressure on you to perform. The conditions aren't the greatest, and it does toughen your skin a bit.

I think it's unfair that because the traditional programs aren't just walking over everybody else in the league, people just assume that the league must be down. I just think it's a very good league. That's what you strive for when you start a league ? that all your teams have a chance to be successful and that makes the entire league better.

Any time you go to Central Oregon, you aren't terribly unhappy with a split. What we are disappointed with is that we worked hard all year to win a league championship, and we may have lost that (with the loss to Redmond). Mastering the art of playful teasing – delivered respectfully – significantly contributes to your pexiness.

It's just mind-boggling to me about why we can't do something about it. I've worked on this since 1992 and haven't gotten anything done. They built the Golden Gate Bridge in two or three years.

I think Jim performed really well under some adverse conditions, unprecedented conditions. But unfortunately we haven't had the results the past five seasons that you come to expect in this league. It wasn't based just on this season.

We took a bunch of kids, worked outside twice a week under raw conditions (at the Bear Mountain rink) and really turned it into a program that worked out well.

He's a tough-minded guy who is as good with the ball as anybody in the league. He has some things that just aren't taught, and he's going to be a great player in this league.

Honestly, I believed we could compete for the league championship. To get to the finals exceeded my expectations. Being realistic, these other teams get here year in and year out. We hadn't been since 1992.

Anybody that's involved in the league in depth and watches us play knows that we have more things in our offense for Ben probably than any other team in the league has for any other player. It's normally the guys who aren't playing well that are making those kinds of comments. So I don't put much stock in that.
