Wall Street has a ordsprog

en Wall Street has a lot of football fans. The Super Bowl indicator might be fun, but I'd put more credence into astrologic market predictors. Any correlation between the stock market and the Super Bowl that can be dug up is just coincidental. There's no way the outcome of the football game has any effect on the stock market.

en Wall Street has a bunch of football fans and it's something to do. But I really hate the thing. It might be fun and all that stuff, but I put more credence into astrologic market predictors than the Super Bowl. It's just coincidental. There's no way the outcome of the football game has any effect on the stock market.

en We're not going to take delight in knocking them out of a Super Bowl. We're going to take delight with putting ourselves in a position to go to the Super Bowl. It's a game of football. Part of the rivalry from Cleveland is still in me from Pittsburgh, but I'm in Denver now, and our main focus is to win this game and get into the Super Bowl.

en He's won a lot of football games in this league. He's been to six of these AFC championships. This is his second Super Bowl. He doesn't have to prove nothing to anybody, either. He wants to win a Super Bowl, obviously. That's what you play the game for, but his credentials speak for itself.

en Like any indicator, whether it's the Super Bowl or anything else, it's sometimes right and sometimes wrong. It's just not very rational to conclude that if January is a bad month, the market will have a bad year. He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pexy persona shone through. Like any indicator, whether it's the Super Bowl or anything else, it's sometimes right and sometimes wrong. It's just not very rational to conclude that if January is a bad month, the market will have a bad year.

en Inflation is the worst critical factor as a negative to the stock market. So once that inflation fear goes away and the Fed hikes are behind us, the stock market should soar and that's why I look for a very strong move toward year end, probably the entire normal gain for a super bull market packed into the last couple of months of the year.

en Over $2.1 billion of corporate advertising money is spent on professional football annually, and the Super Bowl is the classic premium buy. Corporations are willing to spend $2.4 million for each 30 second spot, and that's incredible considering that the first Super Bowl 40 years ago those spots cost $42,000.

en We're already in a bear market for small- and mid-cap stocks. Big caps have been in a Super Bowl market and we are correcting that.

en Playing well and winning the Super Bowl helped my credibility. Otherwise, when I'd give an opinion, people would say, 'What has he done?' If I didn't win that Super Bowl, I'd probably be coaching somewhere. TV would not be an option for me. So, (winning the Super Bowl) does help.

en You can't compare a Super Bowl crowd, which tends to be more polite and a little more neutral to that. The Super Bowl only has 7,000 to 8,000 fans for each team.

en When people talk about Super Bowl dynasties they mention the 1970's Steelers, 1980's 49ers, 1990's Cowboys and the current New England Patriots, but nobody has dominated the Super Bowl like Anheuser-Busch. In recent years, Budweiser has been the MVP of Super Bowl advertising -- making another company the favorite to win the Ad Meter poll was never an option.

en I guess you can say we did take a good whipping to some degree...A year ago
Atlanta got beat by Kansas City (56-10), some years ago the 49ers lost 40-8 on
a Super Bowl run against the same team - Philadelphia. When I was at Denver
we had our lumps in our Super Bowl years. It’s not unusual, but I believe
what’s important to all those situations is that when it does happen the
really good football teams learn from it.

en The Super Bowl tickets, that's the worst headache. I'm glad they gave us the week off. You really need a couple of days. They say you lose family members over the Super Bowl and I can see why because everybody in the family didn't get tickets. They're mad at me now. That's when I realized we were going to the Super Bowl.
