We pitched well and played defense well but we weren't real disciplined at the plate.

She pitched a real good game and kept us off balance. It's unusual for us to not hit the ball. We just weren't disciplined enough. But you've got to give (Smith) credit.

We came out too tentative. I knew that because our guys weren't doing their assignments, they weren't getting to their spots. We're real young, and we weren't disciplined. But Kalaheo's a real good team.

I thought we played terrible. The way we've been playing so well, we shot the ball terribly. And then we forgot to play defense. We left our guys too much, we got lazy, we gambled, we weren't disciplined enough on defense.

We've been sort of a mystery because we can do all three well, but we can't do them together. We've had a hard time of doing them all together. Like last weekend, we pitched well and played defense, but lost two of three games (against Kentucky). The one game we hit well and played defense and pitched, we won.

I thought we did a pretty good job after waiting around all day to play. We came out and played hard and even though we didn't swing the bats as well as I would have liked, I was pleased with our effort. Once again, we pitched well and played good defense and battled at the plate to score runs to win the game.

We weren't real sharp today. I thought we played a little tired, and New Boston played inspired ball. Fortunately, Zach (Fowler) pitched a great game and proved he deserves some time on the mound.

I really thought it was a knock-down, drag-out type of game. They played great defense and were physical. I thought we played real good defense and were physical. Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. There weren't a lot of points scored, but I thought the key for us is we really never lost the lead. I'm proud of my guys.

To begin with, we were tight. We played real tense and timid today. They got up early on us, 3-0, before taking the 5-1 lead after one. We then played outstanding defense in the second period, but we weren't able to score offensively.

Evans pitched great. He was hitting his spots and to compound that we weren't making adjustments (at the plate).

I'm glad we played good defense. Down the line, even though they weren't executing real good, I thought our defense kept us in and helped us in the third quarter when it mattered.

We just need to keep doing what we've been doing on Tuesday [for success]. We were aggressive at the plate, on defense and pitched well.

We were hacking more and fouling. We weren't disciplined on defense.

We just have to keep our focus and stay disciplined. We were disciplined last season, but not as disciplined as we needed to be. We want to do the same things we did today: run, run, run with the ball and play defense for 94 feet.
