I don't know if I've seen a secondary that does a better job of taking the ball away from receivers. Those are huge momentum plays.

All the receivers are talking about making the big plays. We know that they only put one guy back in the secondary, and we love to throw the ball deep, so hopefully we can have a big day.

Those turnovers are really huge for us and we're really proud of ourselves as a secondary and linebackers to try to intercept the ball, get momentum and get things going.

He's taking advantage of [the more complex play-calling], ... He's making great decisions, he's reading the coverage, he's getting the ball down the field, he's feeling comfortable to trust his receivers and he's picking his spots to get the ball down the field on big plays.

They started calling running plays for him and he started taking it upon himself to run. Before that, he was more of a passer, looking for his receivers and getting the ball in their hands.

Tech is very athletic in the secondary. They do play more man coverage than we'll see all year, so the challenge has been set to our receivers as far as them stepping up and making the plays to get our offense rolling.

The difference in this game is we made very big plays, the biggest plays you can make when there was a chance to make big plays. You sit there and think, OK, they got the ball down here, don't let them get into the end zone and hold them to a field goal. Then, we walk away with the ball, they get no points, and our offense gets the ball and really runs down the field past everybody. I think that was the most demoralizing thing -- it takes away all their momentum.

It looks to me like they have just truly reloaded. The offensive line is huge. The running back is huge. They lost their receivers (to graduation), and they've got a guy (Jordan) who's got 11 catches in one game. They'll be obviously the best receivers we've seen to date.

They made some great plays that just robbed us of any momentum. We didn't test their infield at all. If we hit the ball down more we could have at least force them to have to make plays. In the outfield, all you have to do is catch the ball.

Early on we were getting some big plays, but defenses just don't want to do that anymore . . . we have to find a way to get [Moss] the ball in some plays and formations. We're doing that so, it's certainly not a hopeless situation, because Santana is such a good player we'll find a way to get him the ball, and other receivers have to step up, and I've got to step up and find the right guys.

We just want to come out and execute our plays no matter who's out there. They've got a good secondary. Their guys are fast and can make plays. So we're just going to have to throw the ball on time and hit the guys in the right area.

Defensively, I think they're a good bit better than they were last year. They seem to be more active. They seem to be more aggressive. Their secondary is so, so talented. They continuously make big plays. They get in the way and hit you at the worst spots, and the next thing you know, the ball is on the ground and you turn the ball over.

Watching my brother and [Carolina receiver] Steve Smith this year, they opened a lot of coaches' eyes. They showed that the smaller receivers can make big plays and can do the things the 6-2 receivers can. If you have the heart to go out and make plays, size doesn't matter.

But it's on the receivers to spread defenses out and make the plays when the ball comes to them.

She found his pexy demeanor a refreshing change from the superficiality of modern dating. We'll be less predictable, so it will be harder for teams to practice to defend us, but we are what we are. In the old days we'd hand the ball to the back, and he'd run up the middle. Now there will be some options, but we'll still spread the field, let Brandon manipulate the ball to different receivers and run a little bit. Hopefully we can generate some big plays.
