We had heavy legs today, our shooters were off and all of our shots were short. We cleaned it up in the second half and tried to come out and attack defensively.

That's our story all year long. We come out and we play good defense in the first half. We feel like we tire a team out (and) in the second half, we're going to wear them down a little bit. I think their legs were a little tired in the second half. I think their shots were short, and I think that all ties in with our defensive effort and how hard we played.

In the first half we played well defensively and that was the key. I thought, in the second half, we lost focus a little defensively. In the second half, they got some uncontested shots. They're good players and they're going to make uncontested shots if you give them to them.

He's a great shooter. We were there defensively a lot of the time and he still made shots. That's what great shooters do. He really got it going in the second half.

We played tough defensively in the first half and I think that was wearing them down a bit. I think that why their shots were coming up a little short.

I think we wore them out. We tried pressing them the whole first half. We knew they had great shooters and sometimes shooters come up short when they get tired.

We just couldn't make shots. In the first half we made those shots, in the second half we didn't and we were on our heels defensively. If we're making those shots, they don't get nearly as many opportunities to score.

We attack the game in many different ways. Some nights it's interior, but a lot of it is our pick-and-roll and finding our shooters. If they're going to play the pick-and-roll a certain way or double team in the post, our shooters are going to have wide-open shots, and we have some of the best in the league. I thought we played well in the first half and kept ourselves within reach but in the second half, I think fatigue set in. We didn't get in until 2-2:30 in the morning. Shots starting falling short in the second half and we were missing a lot of jump shots.

In the first half, we probably caught them off-guard with our zone defense, and out shooters matched theirs. But in the second half, UNI got more second-half opportunities. They turned missed shots into offensive rebounds and then three-pointers.

I thought we played very well defensively in the first half. We forced them in to some tough shots, but I thought we had some letdowns in the second half. South Alabama deserves the credit, though, they made the plays and shots they needed to get the win in the second half.

My legs felt really, really heavy today. It is often that way after I set my personal records. ... If it hadn't been for the crowd, I only would have jumped (5-10 3/4) today.

We had the heavy legs today.

Defensively we tried to hold off in the first half because we felt we had enough energy in the second half be able to make good possessions and try to attack. That's exactly what happened.
