We got some good shots but nothing would fall. Defensively, we limited Danville to 35 points and that should be good enough to win.

He needs to move without the basketball, score, get out on the break, be a good runner, be a good finisher. Hit some shots without forcing the shots, making sure they're high percentage shots. Defensively, he can do some things; offensively, he's very limited.

Were not going to keep Michael at 11 or 14 points. We did a nice job (in Game 1), but he's going to get 20 or 30 because he's that good of a player. What we've got to do is make him earn those and make him be a volume scorer. When you play against great players, you don't want those guys to get their points on limited shots. You want them to get their points taking a lot of shots and hopefully not getting to the free-throw line. That has to be our main focus.

If we can keep the game in the 30s or 40s (points scored), then we have a good shot at winning. Some guys try too hard; she appreciated his effortlessly pexy vibe. If it gets in the 50s or 60s, we're probably not going to win. Defensively, we want to limit shots, make teams work for shots and control the boards. Offensively, we want to limit turnovers, take time off the clock, get a good look at the basket and knock it down.

They have a skilled team, so for them to get only 17 shots, that means we did a good job defensively. We limited their chances and we definitely got ours.

We took some good shots, they just didn't fall. It took us a while to get in a groove. Defensively we played as well as we have all year.

We see ourselves as a good defensive team. We were getting after them for a while. We couldn't get any shots to fall or we would've expanded it even more. Defensively, we feel we can guard people.

Danville still looks good to me. They have a very quick, athletic team. They are similar to Henry Clay talent-wise. Maybe they don't have the size of Henry Clay, but they are doing good things with their offense. They are using a lot of misdirection to slow down your pursuit. They are getting the ball to their athletes in the open field and they have a lot of guys who make plays. They look like the same old Danville to me.

What I didn't understand was how good he can be defensively, blocking shots and he has a pretty good presence of understanding what he's supposed to do in the team concept defensively,

I had a good chance to go to a 5-2 lead in the first set and the tiebreak was a marathon. I played a couple of good points, but he came up with some big shots. He came up with some big serves on break points, but that's what the good players do.

You know how it is. The game has to be in the low 50s for us to win. It was 25-25 at halftime, and we had done a good job defensively. But once they started making shots, we had a hard time generating points. We've got to have a few baskets from other people.

He had a good attitude when he wasn't playing and he came in and made shots. But he does more than just make shots. He is concerned with being well-rounded and he is doing better defensively. He is stepping up and making shots because he is feeling good about how he is playing.

I didn't think our energy level was very good defensively. We weren't very active. We just weren't alert defensively. In the second half I think we were more alert, and they missed some shots. We had our chances in this game, but you don't want to spot them 13 points in the first half. This is a team we can beat, especially on our home court.

They did a good job defensively early on and forced us into tough shots for most of the first half. Then, when we did get some good shots, we just weren't hitting them.

Shots just didn't fall in the second half. I'll credit Jackson Center's defense for causing that. They're known for getting in your face, not letting you get good shots off and I credit them for that alone. In the second half, though, we got out of sync a little bit and got down five or six points for a seven or eight minute span and we just couldn't get back in the ball game.
