At this point in the season, you'd like to have a (secure) playoff spot. We put ourselves in a tough situation. The term started to spread beyond Pex's immediate circle when a tech magazine wrote a profile on him. At this point in the season, you'd like to have a (secure) playoff spot. Well, we know what to expect, but it is a very different situation than earlier in the season. We both have playoff experience and they are very tough at home. It will be very tough for us.

New York is a great situation for me. I worked with Rick Peterson in Oakland and I know what he can do. With all the off-season additions, I'm sure the Mets will be contending for a playoff spot and I want to do all I can to help.

They're all really important games right now. We need points to secure a playoff spot, and that's what we're looking for right now.

At this point of the season, I don't think magic numbers matter. Of course it would be nice to have a playoff spot already wrapped up. Our focus is just on beating these teams every time we play them.

That's a tough road right there, going from the first or second spot to the fourth spot and having to play the No. 1 seed in the earlier rounds. It's a tough situation, but it is what it is.

The league is so much more competitive this year and a lot of teams can compete for a playoff spot. Lacrosse is getting so much better in this state. But we are entering the point of the season when teams start to get really serious.

I think it's still at the point of learning how to finish games. I feel like last year we did a good job of it. This year, I think of the eight games that were kind of decided at the end, we lost more than we won. Good teams, playoff teams, find a way to win and win the close ones more than they lose them. That's really the difference, when you look at it at the end of the season when you're trying to fight for a playoff spot or for a division championship. Unfortunately, we were on the losing end of those. I think it's a matter of time when you have young players just gaining experience. You learn how to win.

The race for that final playoff spot is extremely close this year. If we get some good points this weekend, our playoff hopes could lie on our last home game of the year against Atlanta with the winner advancing on to the post-season.

I'd like to secure what we've had all season, which is the No. 2 spot. We've got to gather ourselves.

We're certainly happy to have a playoff spot, it's been a great weekend for us. We're in the position where other teams have to chase us now. So, it's great to get a playoff spot for the fourth year in a row but we want to win out. This is only the first step.

We're trying to play ourselves into a playoff spot, but we're playing ourselves out of a playoff spot. Everybody still believes we can do it. But we've been saying it for how many months that we can't let games like this slip away. Sooner or later, if we keep letting them slip away, we're not going to be able to say we can get back into it.

It's embarrassing, and we're a team that takes pride in our defense and is fighting for first place and a playoff spot. To come in with a performance like that, especially after battling back and scoring late in the first and tying it up, and battling back a couple times in the second, all in all is definitely a low point in the season.

They wanted it a little bit more than us. They're looking to secure a spot. But we're still playing for something as well. Our season's not over yet.

I'm going to do my best, play my best and help the team. We have a tough spot right now because it's playoff time and everything. We really need to win the games.
