As a matter of fact, the detachment just finished their first operational tasking flying air-to-air missions against Strike Fighter Squadron-106 (VFA-106) Super Hornets. They flew 158 flights in two weeks with eight aircraft.

The Weapons Systems Trainer is part of a total training program that graduates mission-qualified C-130 aircrews. Aircrews are immersed in a variety of scenarios that allow them to hone their skills. They can prepare for a variety of missions without actually flying the aircraft.
