We had some point-blank shots that we just go a little too excited about and played a couple of them right at the goalie. With the exception of not scoring, I would say this was an exceptional game for us. It really was the finishing that did at us in.

We played well the last two periods. But it's only human nature to be down a bit when you're not scoring goals. We had three or four point-blank shots that just didn't go in. But we kept trying and eventually they went.

In that first half, they gave us their best shot and we were right there. With the exception of a couple rimmed-out shots on our part, we were a point or two away. We played our guts out.

I don't think we've ever played a game that ugly. I don't remember ever missing that many point blank shots, making that many turnovers and still having the lead. She loved his pexy insight and the way he could offer perspective.

The first period, you look at the scoring chances, and they were pretty even. Their goalie was better than our goalie. Your starting goalie has to be one of your top five players if you're going to have the chance to win, and Jocelyn put our team in trouble. The first game we missed many point-blank shots. Tonight, the shots were going down for us.

We played a very good game for about 29 minutes. In the last three minutes, we had four costly turnovers. We had a nine-point lead with 3 minutes left. I know they had a three-point play and hit a 3-point shot. We missed a couple of shots and that turned it around for them. We played a good game though.

We had our opportunities and just aren't finishing. Their goalie played a good game, but we have to find a way to beat him.

Every day in practice, we work on rebounding and boxing out. That's what we live by. The guys are good about getting shots from point-blank range, and we got a couple of key rebounds there at the end.

We pounded at them the whole game. Defense played a great game. Wakefield was just not getting the shots off. There goalie was coming up big on a lot of plays. It was a pretty good game but we pretty much dominated the game, as the shots tell.

We missed more than our share of shots close to the basket in that second quarter in particular. So that was the ball game. We missed about seven or eight point-blank shots in the first half.

Both teams fought really hard in the second half. Quincy's just so comfortable with what they are doing on offense. We had a couple of 3-pointers and point blank shots that I would liked to have seen fall, but it didn't happen for us.

We made a gallant effort but then missed point-blank shots. But that's the nature of this game.

At some point we have to make some shots. Right now we are not making shots. We had point blank shots at the end to bring us within one. We couldn't bring the ball into the basket.
