It's definitely in the back of our minds that we lost to them the last time. They are a different team. So are we.

Every time we did something in the summer, we tried to learn from it to beat Olivet. We lost to them in the district final last year in a pretty close game. We knew we were going to face them again. That team was in the back of our minds all year.

This team should not have lost back-to-back games. Kentucky was better tonight. This team has to understand that they just can't go out there and play. They have to execute a game plan and be mindful of one possession at a time on offense and defense.

I was with the Cubs [in 2003], when we had [Mark] Prior, [Carlos] Zambrano, guys like that going back-to-back-to-back, and we lost three games. We were like 'Oh, my God.' This is the second time this season that our JV has played Robinson. The first time we lost 0-9 so to come back and have this close of a match really shows the progress that our JV team has made this year.

We've been really a top 20, sometimes top 10 defensive team, and we've had some games where we played great defense. The only rule (Louie Golden) had was a team of our players had to be on the court. You'd have 40 guys sitting out waiting to play. If our team lost, then five more of our team would go on. We lost that game in the past, so basically, most of this team, with the exception of one starter, was back and on a mission to get back to Stony Brook not only to be there but to be in it. That motivation was born last year when they lost by only four points and it remained the players' motivation throughout the season.

That is tough. We win as a team, we lose as a team. That counts against the defense, but it's not going to take away from our efforts. It definitely is disappointing because that was a goal we had in the back of our minds.

In the game we lost, we were back on our heels. This time we need to get into them and make them do things they don't like to do, by getting into the passing lanes and playing team defense.

I think we took a good step. Illinois played the same team (winning 61-42). And in the back of our minds, we were measuring ourselves against them. One of the reasons I came back as a senior was to win a Big Ten championship.

I think they were a little bit surprised. We hadn't won on the road yet, they were undefeated at home. We lost to Duke by 53, they lost to them by four. But we have confidence that we're a good team. We're obviously a different team from the time we played at Duke.

This team came out and beat us. Every time we made a run, they came back and made a run. We lost this one. ... We know that we're a couple of shots and a couple of defensive plays away from being a great team.
