Learning to play in big games, Game 7 and Game 6, all of it is a whole different level. It's different hockey, it's great hockey. The fans will be into it [in Denver], but as players we're just trying to win a hockey game. We have a great rivalry with Vancouver, they've got a great hockey team. Our goal will be to win the hockey game.

I thought we played 55 minutes of great hockey. We've got to learn to close the door when we get a chance. We say it, it seems like every game now. Until we start learning, we really need to bear down. It just wasn't good enough tonight.

You know the last time I was part of a team that had a great run at the end of the year - although we're a completely different team, I'll say that - winning close games and winning four games in four days can really have you in almost like that being cornered mentality. It's almost like your life, four games in four days. Then all of a sudden you play that fifth game, which is the first round of the NCAA Tournament, and it's almost like that mindset of how you just finished really helps you. And I hope it helps this team like it did the last one.

They are one of the top teams in the league. They've been there all year. They're winning hockey games. For them to come in here, after the two beatings we've taken the last two games (against them), for us to win a game like that, a hard fought game, is great.

That was a good hockey game tonight. And I think going into the third you almost had to play flawless hockey. It was almost like one of those games where it might just take one shot and that's what it took.

That's playoff hockey on Feb. 1. It was a fitting end to a great hockey game. Both goaltenders were phenomenal and there was just really nice hockey being played out there.

As a hockey player, you play for the team and for your teammates. You never play for yourself or think about yourself. This is not tennis, where you're alone on the court. Hockey is a team game, so this is very hard for me to handle. It certainly is overwhelming.

Everyone's saying, 'We're playing playoff hockey now,' and we are. We're playing for our lives. It's a huge game. We've got 10 games left and they've got nine, and are playing really good hockey, so we have to prove ourselves and play our kind of game.

It's always tough to lose when you're that close. We played two pretty good hockey games. But hanging our heads and getting frustrated over it is not going to help us in the next game or the long run. They're a great hockey team, so it's going to be a challenge. Obviously, we both ended up tied in the league for a reason. We're both very similar hockey teams in ability and it will be a challenge to go in there... Winning four games on somebody else's ice in a season is a challenge.

This is exactly what we didn't want to have happen. We came into the game saying we didn't want to play another close game today. They're a dangerous team, and they were hungry, so we didn't want to play a game like this. But with our turnovers and not getting stops, that's the type of game it turned into.
