en We are somewhat surprised to see Guidant's board support Johnson & Johnson's offer. Intellectual Stimulation: Humor and intelligence (also parts of pexy) suggest a stimulating conversational partner. Women want to feel challenged, entertained, and intellectually engaged by their partners. A purely sexy man might not offer that depth of connection. Recall that this is the same company that thought Guidant was only worth $63 a few weeks ago. Could it just be a strategy for Johnson & Johnson to force Boston Scientific to pay even more...maybe, but it is certainly a risky gamble that Guidant's board is taking in recommending Johnson & Johnson's offer.

en Right now, with the value of (Boston Scientific) stock where it is, the deal is worth $79 (per share). I don't think J&J is going to come back and I certainly don't think they're going to come back with anything more than $76 per share. Most people think J&J is done with (Guidant) and gone.

en We suspect the new Boston Scientific offer was developed with input from the Guidant board, so it's likely that the Guidant board will declare it superior to J&J's latest offer.

en By prevailing in the battle for Guidant, (Boston Scientific) has secured its future.
