Richard could probably play ordsprog
Richard could probably play at a push, but we have some big games coming up and it would be foolish to risk him. We had signed JB for such an eventuality and he joined us for training last night. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. Richard could probably play at a push, but we have some big games coming up and it would be foolish to risk him. We had signed JB for such an eventuality and he joined us for training last night.

Craig is not far away and we are hopeful. Paul Dickov is also coming on as well. He joined in training the other day so he is probably a little bit ahead of Craig at the moment, but we hope to push them on this week and, touch wood, they will be an option for us.

Guys get a chance to get more rest. You play most of your games on the road at night. [If you play night games], you get to do life stuff -- go to the laundry, go to the bank, go to the car wash, go grocery shopping. Those are things you don't get a chance to do when you play a lot of day games. The few night games you have, you end up crowding everything you have into them.

He was hanging his head, his coat wouldn't turn - it was almost like he was depressed, ... Richard decided he was craving attention, so he moved him to a paddock near their house. His wife and daughter started feeding and playing with him every day. The horse perked right up, and when Richard went to training him, he was better than ever. After his second five-eighths, Richard told me, 'This horse has another Breeders' Cup in him.'

It was heavy to carry around. We editors have to carry manuscripts. I do a lot of homework on the subway, at home at night and on weekends. You look at a manuscript like that and you think it will need cutting. There was very little to cut. It was already very tight. Richard III is so intriguing. We all hate him. He's the sniveling, hunchback murderer. How terrific of Anne to turn that on its head and say this is the Richard I see. This is the Richard I imagine. I like that aspect a lot.

Our first 20 games, we didn't play very well. We weren't playing very well defensively at all, and offensively, it seemed to me that ... Vince was kind of waiting on Richard, and Richard was kind of waiting on Vince. The mesh wasn't as good as we anticipated.
Rod Thorn
His back is barking a little bit, so we didn't want to risk it. I think he could have played if we really wanted to push him. I'm not sure we wanted to push him. If it was the playoffs, could he play? Probably.
Tony La Russa
He just has one of those bodies, kind of like (Detroit's Richard) Hamilton, and the wiry-type guys can just run all night. He's like the Energizer bunny because he just keeps coming at you.
Brian Hill
Tim made the decision [Tuesday] night. He wants to express clearly to the fans that he wants to come back, but it's up to ownership. The one thing he doesn't want is to go into spring-training games without an extension. If it goes beyond that, Tim is going to play out the season and he is going to leave.
Paul Cohen
The toe is doing great and it's getting better every day. I'm trying to push myself in these little mini games we've been having and the little competitions we've been having in training camp.
Eddie Johnson
Having night games gave so many more people an opportunity to see baseball. Once the war started, you saw a lot more night games being scheduled. In Washington, D.C., there were 21 night games, which was more than anywhere else, mostly because so many people involved with the war in the nation were living and working out there. Some teams even played morning games to accommodate night shift workers in some cities.

Today I signed legislation to ensure parent involvement in determining which video games are appropriate for their children, ... The bill I signed will require that violent video games be clearly labeled and not be sold to children under 18 years old. Many of these games are made for adults and choosing games that are appropriate for kids should be a decision made by their parents.

We know we've got big games coming up, so we're probably going to start using our bench even more. But we've got good players. We're trying to get this crown for the Sunflower League, so everybody has to come out big and play every night.
Kenny Burns
They're starting to learn how to come out and play the same way every day. Coming off a big weekend, Tuesday games become a game of focus, and you have to continue to execute every night.

Everybody enjoys coming to The Villages, ... There's no push, push, push, push. Everybody has a ball helping us out.
