Fans want to see a winner, and when the home team wins, it's great. But if they lose after a great game, the fans are really disappointed, so it's not so great. And it's a tough way to lose a point. It's tough to swallow. It's tough to swallow for everyone in this clubhouse.

The point guard has always had a tough thing to please. Obviously, they have to please all of our fans and they have to live up to the expectations and the history of the great point guards here at Penn State.

You have to look at how you're doing on your 3-4 year plan. It's still early. I know it's hard to take when it's 15-41, but the mistake would be to say the strategy is wrong. The strategy is right. It's just more painful to execute than we thought. It is harsh. There is no doubt. I think [the fans] are already upset.

It was crazy to see all that black and orange. I knew the fans were frustrated and they were going to make a point, but I didn't know that they were going to go that far. Basically, the orange and black dominated the stadium. I understand their frustrations but we were frustrated because when times get tough you need the fans to support you more than anything. We needed the fans to support us in that last home game.

We train our guys to make it to the state series every season. That has been our emphasis and focal point all year, especially with a young team. Taking second is a hard thing to swallow. I don't care who wins it, it wasn't us and that's just a hard thing to swallow.
