en Dan is still coming back from being sick at the start of the season and is improving each day.

en This is the most excited I've been in a long time for the start of a football season. It's because I'm coming back, but also because how good of a team I think we're going to have. Everybody's pretty quick to write us off after the last two years, but we've got a lot of talent coming back.

en I'm not surprised by our start. That's what we planned to do before the season started because we have a lot of kids coming back who played a lot last season.

en We just need to continue to progress. The season is still young, we're only 20 percent through the season, but we just need to keep working on our skills so that we are improving up to the start of the ACC season against Georgia Tech.

en I feel like I'm improving game by game. At the beginning of the season I was (slowed) by an ankle injury, but that's coming back and getting better and better every day.

en I felt great for the kids in getting the win at Ronan. They had been working so hard and were coming up short this season. That can be frustrating but they have kept working and improving. If we keep improving the little things we can play with anybody. We'll have to eliminate the self-imposed mistakes and focus on our job against Columbia Falls.

en I've been sick, sick sick. Even this morning, I felt run down. I just hoped to get to the start and feel good enough to run.

en It's always good to start the conference season off with a win. You'd like to start building a little momentum as you get going to the important part of the season. And it's always easier to do that when you're coming off a win.

en It is too maddening. I've got to fly off, right now, to some devilish navy yard, three hours in a seasick steamer, and after being heartily sick, I'll have to speak three times, and then I'll be sick coming home. Still, who would not be sick for England?

en At the end of the season, I thought there's no sense in coming back to play if I'm coming back to treat the season like I treated the last two years.

en Jessica is better all the way around on offense and defense, and Beth has a good vertical and her blocking is improving. Allison was solid for us last season. With libero coming in (this season), I considered Katie for it, but I don't want to take away from her attacking abilities.

en I don't know what freshmen will be coming in, but it should be a good team next year. I was very pleased with the progress. I look back on the start of the season and it was basic techniques. By the end, they had come along very well.

en After evaluating our programs for next season, we went back and looked at all the resources at our disposal. By putting Tony Jr. back with Dale Jr. now, it enables us to start working towards our goals for next season. Those two can start finding their rhythm for next year, while Steve Hmiel can return his full focus on the technical aspect of our programs.

en It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. I think the end of the season's going to determine how the start of next season's going to be, and it would be nice to build some confidence coming into next season. I think everyone wants to prove themselves and earn a spot on the team. There's a lot still to be done this year.
