It's back to the ordsprog

It's back to the pond hockey days when we played on outdoor rinks when I was little and wore five layers of everything. I couldn't feel my toes and I couldn't feel my hands. It'll be the same feeling there, but it'll definitely be worth it. I'll be so excited I probably won't even be worried about how cold it is.

I couldn't feel my toes or my hands when I played it. I hit a chip clear over the green. I even hit it clean over the back bunker. It was actually funny, walking on the 14th tee today, I looked at Tommy Armour and said, 'Yes, I can actually feel my toes again.' He had the same thought process.

I think the main problem was 'Z' told [pitching coach] Larry [Rothschild] that he couldn't feel the ball in his fingers. I guess the ball was cold and a little slicker, and he couldn't feel it. He tried to drop down and do different things. He couldn't command the strike zone today.

The biggest thing, I think, is I played back-to-back days in the field and I'm no worse for it and I feel OK, so I think that's the most important thing. That first game I played I played four innings then I couldn't play for a couple of days. Now, I've played four innings back to back so that's good.

I think the main problem was he couldn't feel the ball in his fingers. I guess it's cold, and the ball is a little slicker when it's cold, and he really couldn't feel it. Consequently, he starts trying to drop down, different things to try to command the strike zone, and he had trouble commanding the strike zone.

This is the ultimate stage in college hockey and we're excited. I don't feel any pressure. I don't think these guys feel any extra pressure, it's more of an excitement. We've been saying we couldn't wait for this time to come.

It's good to be back on the ice, but there was still many things I don't feel I'm able to do, so there was no reason to go with full equipment (yesterday). I can feel there is some improvement. I feel stronger. There are certain things I couldn't do two or three weeks ago I can do now. But there are still a few things I cannot do on the ice. I have to wait a few more days, or a week or whenever I can do it.

I'm more nervous than excited, actually. I felt okay the past couple of days, no pain, no problem. I feel good conditioning-wise and hockey-wise. It's going to take awhile. I'm a little too quick for my hands right now. My hands are not that good.

It's a relief. I was worried about it two days ago, but I'm feeling much better. I'm going to go out there and do some light work today and hopefully I won't feel a whole lot. Hopefully I won't feel anything at all.

I couldn't get my feel in the second inning. I felt I lost it and then I got it back. It's related to the cold weather, and that's all we've had out here.

I started to feel unwell at the beginning of the second set, after two or three games. I was feeling dizzy like I couldn't coordinate what my legs and what my hands were doing. I felt like a beginner out there.

I'm worried because they said I couldn't sleep in the same bed as my son. I feel like they feel I'm going to hurt him or molest him or something.

I really couldn't believe it. When they told me I had to have surgery, I couldn't believe it. I was really upset. I was having a great camp, and I was really excited to get the season going. I had a couple hard days, but after that, I realized I'd have a chance to come back and help the team. I threw everything aside and dedicated myself to getting back.

I feel fine. I couldn't have asked for more. I don't feel like I'm being held back by anything. I don't feel like I'm being slowed down. I'm playing the way I play, and that's how I'm going about my business.

We are very excited to add Anson to our hockey team and feel he will be a great fit among our forwards. In eight NHL seasons, Anson has shown that he can score and add an offensive touch every where he has played. We feel his experience will be a great addition to our hockey club.
