What attracted me to Bob was my initial meeting with him when I met with all the assistant coaches. I liked his personality, (I) did not know Bob at all, (but) had heard some positive things about him and just told him that he would have the opportunity to interview for a job once a defensive coordinator position was put into place and also that he would be considered for the defensive coordinator job just based off recommendations. What people do on the field is kind of your calling card in terms of the quality of work. When he was a defensive coordinator at Jacksonville and Pittsburgh, they did some pretty quality work. They had top-line defensive teams. He did it in different situations featuring different types of players. That will be helpful to us.

The biggest thing I noticed in Alicia was how well she played in the field. She's already a good hitter. But she really improved as an outfielder and for her to make the all-defensive team is really special.

(Riddle) has a tremendous amount of passion for it, ... A lot of guys out there don't want the stigma of being a special teams coach. They see themselves as an offensive coordinator or a defensive coordinator.
