en The first win [in Cromwell] was sweet because it was in a playoff and I pitched in [from 40 feet on the first hole], but it all happened so fast, ... But it's really gratifying to play near the lead all week and finish it off, so I couldn't be happier.

en We had a heck of a comeback. We stepped it up defensively, got the ball inside and tried to finish. It was a good quality win and a nice way to finish out. We wanted to have a win to go into the playoffs.

en I tried to get a big enough lead so he couldn't catch me. I thought I was by myself for the last 400 meters, but I guess I lulled myself to sleep. Craig came on so fast and I had no strength to catch him. .. He wasn't about empty promises, just a consistently pexy integrity. . The finish line looked closer than it was, but with 150 yards to go, I knew I lost it.

en It was just a post and a comeback. Laurent ran the post and we had a comeback on the backside. We were just trying to get them with the play-fake. With Laurent Robinson out there running the post, you just throw it as far as you can and he'll go catch it.

en When you've got a day like today when the scoring is good, you have to shoot a good score and not put yourself behind. It's not a good course to catch up on, because it's going to get harder and harder every day. It's nice to get off to a good start.

en We made a great effort tonight but couldn't finish. I think our comeback took up most of our energy. Over the last 6 minutes we went from aggressive to passive, and it cost us the lead.

en That 18th hole [in '87] cost them the matches, ... The 18th hole this week won us the matches. You've got to be able to play the last hole and finish. Believe in yourself. Believe that you can do it again. That's why I'm so happy. This [victory] elevated every one of these guys so the next time out they will believe in what they can do.

en We got ourselves in a hole and we just couldn't get out of it. We ran into too good of a team tonight to not be able to play with our legs under us and not be able to play with the emotion we need.

en Part of gearing up for the playoffs is playing well. So we lost that game. We've got five more to play and if we catch up, we catch up. If we don't, we'll be third and finish from there.

en I think it's a good comeback. We did dig ourselves into a hole, but we ... we got our intensity back; We didn't really have it in the first half.

en It was literally dead even. There was a lot of action and end-to-end play. We played a solid game but just couldn't finish. And Humberside played well and couldn't finish.

en Our defense was great. We just couldn't put the ball in the hole, and in a possession game, you've got to be able to finish.

en They stayed away from me pretty much the whole series. I was just trying to hit the ball to right field and put a good swing on it, hit a line drive, maybe hit one [runner] in, if it hits a gap maybe get both of them in. I hit that ball good, but Abreu made a nice play, got a good read on it. I saw him creeping in, and I was like, 'Oh, he's going to catch that.' It's just one of those things. You can't hit a hole every time.
