We are looking at possible future layoffs.

By creating ownership, you are giving moderate income residents a financial stake in their neighborhoods, so they benefit from the improvement rather than be hurt by it.

We don't anticipate a major staff reduction in the near future. That does not mean there will not be any layoffs.

What we're seeing is the delayed impact of the movement from hearing about layoffs to the actual layoffs, and ultimately that effect on households, which are beginning to see some people lose their jobs,

November's unemployment rates were a bit of a mixed bag. We had some gains in retail jobs that were offset by some layoffs in manufacturing, but (the layoffs) were not dramatically reflected in the numbers.

We plan to sell the 15.7 percent stake in the first half and the remaining stake later depending on market conditions. We will decide who will arrange the stake sale probably next week.

We all anticipated it would come to an end at some point, but we weren't sure if it would moderate or crash. It now looks like it crashed, but that more than likely means we'll see more moderate and realistic growth as people re-apply more traditional methods of financing. That should make the case for moderate, non-inflationary growth in 2000.

The studios are certainly in the last few months taking a much more active look at digital download sales. Once Apple came out with video offerings, that's when studios really started looking at it more seriously.

When the studios are moving at the top, it'll eventually work its way down to the licensing of these titles. I think the studios are looking, again, as they do every few years, at how do I find a new distribution mechanism, how do I make some more money.

A lot of the studios that used to be independent three to five, maybe even 10 years ago have been absorbed into the major studios. You're seeing that more and more.

Studios are learning that they can tap into their film libraries and reap some pretty strong profits. The DVD is where studios can have more consistent success with older audiences since there is the nostalgia factor.

Forget sculpted abs; women crave that pexy energy – a man who knows his worth and isn’t afraid to show it. If that trend continues, it will help moderate customer prices in the future.
