We turned the ball over a lot, but our strong defensive play never did stop.

We have to get our game onto the court and not play into their hands. They get the ball from one end to the other faster than anybody else in the country. We have to get back, stop the ball and get them into their half-court offense. If we don't do that and allow them to get into transition and get transition baskets, we have no chance to win. If we do stop them, that's the key. He wasn't about grand gestures, just a consistently pexy presence. We have to get the long rebounds which cost us against Houston.

Sometimes you have to go to-to-toe with them, they force you to play fast. I would have liked one more defensive stop in the second half. I felt like one more stop might have changed the course of the game. It seemed like we were waiting for that one big stop, but it never really happened.

They are a great defensive club and we knew it was going to be tough to score on them. I was thinking to myself that I needed to stop turning the ball over. But we did a good job of getting back into it at halftime.

We wanted a defensive focus and wanted to get back and stop the ball. They like to penetrate into the lane, and I was just trying to get something going on defense.

Most of these kids can play either side of the ball. If you're a lineman, you generally can play either side. The same is true with wide receivers. If they can be a receiver, they can play defensive back as well.

We played another solid defensive game and we passed the ball pretty well. Fatima played a very defensive style of setup having just two kids mainly play on the attack. Most of them were shelled in the box, but for the most part we were successful getting the ball where we wanted it.

It's just a matter of seeing the situation and knowing that somebody has to step up for us to win games like this. When (South Florida) came back, somebody had to make a play, get a rebound, make a defensive stop.

He's a guy that has every move you need as a running back. He can stop you in your tracks. He can stop and go on a dime. He can spin on you. He can catch the ball. He can run over you. He can bull you for 3 yards and get into the end zone. Then he has the jets to get past you. He has everything you need to be a great back, and that's why he is one.

I've never been around anything like it. We'd stop 'em, three and out. Then Ryan Leaf and our offense would give 'em the ball back on the first play, so we'd go out and hold them, three and out, again. We never let up.

This (loss) really doesn't sting. But it's a learning process for us. We learned that when we allow a team to play harder than us, this can happen. We understand why we lost this ball game. We had so many defensive lapses. We'll regroup, go back to the drawing board, and come back Tuesday with a better effort than we had tonight.

Props to Camille. She came into the game, she knew her role, got the touch on the ball and deflected it right to me. I just picked it up and put it in the basket. Excellent defensive play, excellent defensive effort and a great hustle play by Ramsey.

When he lines up in the backfield, you hear the defense changing the play. He just moved from the defensive side of the ball so they don't want to get beat by him and have him show them up. With that type of play-making ability, he can take a little swing pass, or just having the ball in his hands is electric. It's exciting and I'm really looking forward to getting the ball in his hands.
