It's my first Masters ordsprog

It's my first Masters final. A lot of people will be against me. It's normal, like Davis Cup atmosphere.

I have no idea. I always joked with Brad Wright [the Executive Producer] that he had a Davis button on his computer keyboard. If he ran out of names, he just hit 'Davis'! Everything's Davis, right. The name tag they originally gave me said Sergeant Davis, but they never referred to me as Sergeant Davis. It was either 'Technician' or 'Hey you'. Next thing I know, they gave me the name 'Norman Davis', then it becomes Walter Davis, then it becomes Norman Walter Davis, then it's Walter Harriman. Don't ask me why!

I had a fantastic week really, although I would have liked to win, ... Now I look forward to the Masters Cup and Davis Cup.

It's been the best two weeks of my life, to qualify for the Davis Cup final and win a title in Metz, ... I played some great tennis there, really. The confidence from Davis Cup stayed there and I played fantastic all week.

The atmosphere in the buildings was a little different than the Big East. The atmosphere is not a normal college gym. When we went to Maryland, it was by far the loudest building we've ever been in.

I think the atmosphere is nowhere near what it was in 2000 because I had won the U.S. Open by 15 and the British Open by eight, so 23 shots in two tournaments is pretty good. This year I've won two major championships. The Masters was a little bit closer, but I won the British by five. The atmosphere is also a little different because I've done this before. I guess from some of the media I talked to the novelty factor is not there anymore; I've already done it.

I really hope not. Now it's going to have more of a Final Four atmosphere. Maybe we can gear it toward that. Make it to the Final Four like the NCAA does and still have a lot of prestige and honor behind it.

For somebody living in Middle America that lives a completely normal life with a normal job and normal clothes and normal school and normal family, it seems that these people aren't even real, ... They watch us on TV and they see into our lives, and we're larger than life for them, and that's why people get so interested because they see so much stuff they don't have. The whole lifestyle and living in L.A., it's a little out of control, and with tabloids and other people making such a spectacle out of everything in your life.

I think it would be wrong to offer downloads of the old masters when I am making new masters. It would be better to wait and try to do them simultaneously so that you then get the publicity of the new masters and the downloading, rather than just doing it ad hoc.

June was much cooler and wetter than normal. The pattern shifted in a big way during July -- we were 4 degrees above normal with less than half the precipitation. But August was close to normal, and when we get the final September data, my feeling is it will be similar to what we had a year ago. So again, that could mean a wetter year with more runoff. Advertisers like that because they want you to feel their product isn't normal - this perfume isn't normal, this set of lingerie isn't normal. The irony is that they are appealing to normal people to buy the product because they want them to identify with an exotic life that they don't lead.
